1862 Bill Louisiana, Front , & half cut holly springs currency, Back Rare NM.
Rare Louisiana civil war money, front printed ontop of obsolete cut holly springs money which on the back shows in blue a half a and a half a bill. They printed them this way so the original money cuts in half and is unusable if regained by the capturing force aka they make it void for the enemy they looted from and only good to be used a confederate Louisiana money. Also the confederate Louisiana used different color inks than holly springs as well to further the difference, In great shape, in a plastic holder, these are very rare, the last one I saw was In the Louisiana museum. Amazing piece of history with both Louisiana $ and holly springs currencies all in one, great for collectors and display pieces. Very few of these exist.
