    Description

Circa 1920's big box type tube radio receiver. The example we are offering has positions inside for five tubes. But, the five tubes are missing. There are two loose wires inside. It looks like all of the other interior parts are present. However, we do not know that much about this kind of radio. So, please judge for yourself from the pictures as to what components are present &/or possibly missing as we are not sure.
This is a very attractive appearing example condition-wise. The case is mahogany on the two sides, the top, the base, & the back. The front knobs are made of black bakelite. The front panel appears to us to be made of lucite. However, we are not absolutely certain that it is lucite & the front panel may also be made of bakelite.
We have looked very closely all over the radio & have not been able to find any maker's marking. There is one small oval area, which measures 1 3/8 inches by 9/16 inch, under the base which is lighter than the rest of the bottom of the base. We are wondering if there just might have originally been a label in that area??

This radio, as the pictures clearly show, has been very well taken care of it's entire life. The radio case is 19 5/8 inches long across the front & 8 7/16 inches deep by 9 inches tall. The total weight is approximately 13 pounds 3.2 ounces.
