    Description

Clean and complete AMRAD 3500-U double deck radio .. The 3500-U is comprised of the type 2634 Detector / Amplifier and the type 3475 Broadcast Tuner .. The two units are connected by aluminum brackets on the sides of the set and two sets of jumper strips on the rear terminals. The cabinets on both units are in very good condition and all four of the screened vents are included. The amplifier section retains the original AMRAD audio transformers .. one good and one open. All of the original binding posts are included and both sets of jumpers are also originals. All of the dials and knobs are original to the set.
The chassis components are all original as well ... only a couple of obvious problems to mention ... The potentiometer on the upper unit is missing part of the winding and the vernier & stabilizer controls on the lower unit are frozen. These will need attention if you intend to restore the set to operation. It presents very
well as it is and makes a great display unit. These circa 1923 sets have become very hard to find and this is a good looking example!
The set measures approx 15" X 10" X 7" deep and very well packed shipping weight will be 18 pounds from zip code 24012.

I neglected to mention that the empty socket on the back of the tuner takes an AMRAD 3287 Radioformer RF Transformer which is not included [nor do I have one available] ... It was designed to receive signals from 600 meters or shorter wavelengths.
