    Description

This auction is for a nice Crosley model 51A one tube amplifier made in about 1924 and in good working condition. This amplifier has all the original parts, including the original Crosley transformer and binding post nuts. The warranty paper in the lid is a reproduction .. otherwise it's all original.  It also has a tested good Cunningham brand 201A tube with short pins, as might have been purchased when the radio was new. I tested the amp by connecting it to my Crosley model 51 radio receiver and verified that it does work and amplifies the sound enough to play a 1920s high-impedance horn speaker with good volume. Connecting this 1-tube amplifier to your Crosley Model 51 2-tube receiver would make it the equivalent of a Crosley Model 52 3-tube receiver [also works well with the Crosley 50 one tube set]. The front panel and knob are very nice with no damage. It looks great sitting next to a Crosley 51 radio. About 5-1/4 inches wide x 5-1/2 inches deep including the knobs x 6-1/8 inches tall. Very well packed shipping weight will be 6.5 pounds from zip code 24012.
