    Description

Circa 1927 ... Silver Marshall type 730 Round The World Four ...
    The 730
    "
    Round
the World Four" is a four-tube non-radiating short wave receiver consisting of one stage of screen grid r.f. amplification, a regenerative detector and two stages of extremely high-gain audio amplification.
The right-hand vernier dial controls regeneration. The small lower knob regulates the detector filament voltage, and at the extreme anti-clockwise position turns the entire set off. The set originally would have come with a set of four
plug in five pin coils ... These were not with the set when I found it ... but I did manage to find a single five pin coil form which is included.
    The original  four tuning ranges were:  on the left-hand (tuning) dial (131-T: 17.4 to 32 meters. 131-U: 31 to 58 meters. 131-V: 56 to 110 meters. 131-W: 105 to 204 meters).
The set is in great, original condition .. clean aluminum outer case with all original dials [National vernier tuning and regeneration controls] ... The chassis is clean and
again original .. Four good tubes are included ... A type 222 front end tube and type O1A's for the detector and amplifier sections. The set is housed in an
    aluminum
shielding cabinet, 14 inches long, 6 inches wide and 6 inches high, and weighing 14 pounds.
The set will be carefully packed and shipped via FedEx Ground .. 18.5 pounds shipping weight
