7 Pc VERNON KILNS Hand Painted MAY FLOWER California Pottery Bowl & Plates

Please excuse any glare in the photos.  This auction is for 7 pieces of Vernon Kilns china in the May Flower pattern.  Each piece is marked on the back, "Hand Painted Under Glaze Vernon Kilns Calif. Made In U.S.A. May Flower".  The berry bowl is 5.75" across the top (center).  It rises 1.25" to the lip, or rim, from a flat surface.  The round foot is 2.00" across the bottom center.  The 6 bread and butter plates are 6.50" across the top center.  Each rises 0.75" to the lip, or rim, of the plate from a flat surface.  The round foot is 3.50" across the middle.  Each piece features a lovely hand painted wildflower scene.  Due to the nature of the decoration (hand painted) there are subtle variations from one piece to the other.
The colors remain vibrant and do not appear faded throughout the pieces.  There is are no repairs, staining, or crazing.  When viewed under bright, natural light there is no evidence of utensil marks in the glaze.  Only one plate has a very small chip along the edge measuring 3/16" going with the edge.  This chip is 1/8" wide.  You cannot see this when looking down on the plate.  Two pictures have been provided.  Six of the seven pieces are in phenomenal condition.
A note about 'vintage' or 'antique' pieces: they are to be considered preowned.  Evidence of some use and/or age should be expected, but damage WILL BE described and photographed.
