Here is a rare, vintage Alabama souvenir ironstone plate by Vernon Kilns. It is 10 1/2" in diameter and is marked "Vernon Kilns U.S.A." along with the Alabama coat-of-arms with paragraph on the back. It is in excellent condition with no visible signs of chips or cracks and little, if any, signs of paint missing or crazing. It features Samford Hall at Auburn, Vulcan - Birmingham's Mighty Man of Iron, Wilson Dam at Muscle Shoals, Bellingrath Gardens - on the Azaleas Trail, Mobile - Where Ships Sail the Seven Seas, Denny Chimes at the University of Alabama - Home of the Crimson Tide, and State Capitol at Montgomery, Cradle of the Confederacy. The depictions on this plate are done in red.
