    Description

    This handsome 1860s fluted brass powder flask measures 9" x 4" x 1 3/4" overall and is marked Am Flask & Cap Co.  The American Flask and Cap Company operated out of New York City ca. 1857-ca. 1870 and produced a varied line of accessories.  The present flask is one of their earier styles and shows wear and dents with NO holes splits or cracks.  The spring on the thumb lever is broken and the twist-top/measure is frozen
