Description
I finally refreshed my military offerings from a great auction from one of my two favorite auction houses here in Western Mass. This is an interesting sword and I'm not sure if it goes all the way back to Revolutionary War but quite possibly War of 1812 era. I believe from what I saw Wester and Company was an early maker for the much more heard of Solingen. I'm guessing from the size that it was an artillery or calvary saber. It measures about 33" long and the blade goes about 1 3/16" wide at widest. the hilt is still very tight and there are some nicks in the blade itself. I could be wrong but this could be a very interesting find. I will certainly add anything I learn while it is for sale. It is absolutely the real deal I'm just offering it as purchased from major collection. I will edit anything I verify while for sale.No discount extorters that ebay encourages through ridiculous feedback policies. I think my price is one of good value and I had to pay too and then there are fees. I burn a lot of gas and time to try to find the good stuff and have to pay for it too, then research and list, then fees, then packing worrying about shipping. I always do my best in shipping and this should still be reasonable going UPS ground absolutely will try to double boxed because of glass and we want it to arrive safely.
Check out the pictures they took long enough to download. I always do my best in shipping and answering question or concerns but work 3rd shift so can't always answer immediately Thanks for your time and taking a look!!
