Description
Up for sale is this incredible piece of New Haven history. It is an Antique New Haven House Hotel Water Pitcher. The New Haven House was in the current site of the Taft Building from about 1850-1908. It was preceded by Beers Tavern where George Washington stayed a night in 1775. There is quite a bit of history detailed on the Taft Apartments web page. The New Haven House name is on both sides, one shows a bit more fading and loss than the other. There is significant crazing and staining, a little roughness on the bottom rim, but there are no chips, cracks or other damage. Local pick up can be arranged by appointment. Otherwise insured shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Measures about 11” x 10” x 7”. Stamped indiscernibly on the base. Please view all 12 photos for measurements and condition.
