    Description

Please have a look at all of my current listings.  They are part of my 50 plus years of collecting to be listed (as time permits) over the coming weeks and months.  My collection includes Antique items such as Scientific Instruments, Radios, Bottles, Barometers, Surveying Instruments, Prohibition (and Pre-Prohibition) Whiskey, Art, Books, etc.  I have fully packed storage boxes full of wonderful things that need to see the light of day once more.  I simply do not have the room anymore (just ask my wife).  It is really hard to part with my "treasures" but I find comfort knowing that they will be cared for by the new owners.  Let me know if you have any specific needs and I will try to list them.  ENJOY!!!
This is one of those iconic radios that needs no introduction.  It reeks of quality inside and out.  Adams-Morgan (AMCO) made some of the best early radio equipment in the world.  It has been a display item only for me.  I will leave the bulk of the cosmetic description to the photos other than those items that cannot be seen.  The DA-2 has three good tubes that all light up when I powered the unit with my ARBE-III battery eliminator.  Each tube can be controlled by their respective rheostat getting brighter and dimmer when adjusted.  The circuit selector switch operates as it should turning the selected circuits off and on as desired.  That is as far as I went with testing the unit.  It will come with the copied instruction sheets which came with the unit when I purchased it.  The DA-2 is fully original down to the thumb nuts as far as I can tell.  The panel and knobs are the same and in great shape.  The interior and bottom of the quarter-sawn oak cabinet is clean and still has its original blackish stain and varnish finish.  The only problem is that a coat of low luster black paint has been applied to the outside of the cabinet.  I can't imagine why other than to match the radio it was paired with perhaps.  When displayed it is hard to tell that it has been painted though.  Measures 12" wide by 8.25" deep by 7.5" tall.
Sold as is.  Return only if not as described and shown in photos.  No Overseas/International shipping at this time.  I am still fully employed and overseas shipping consumes too much time and can create issues.  Shipping quote for lower 48 states only as others will be more.  Many Thanks.
