Condition: The booklets are in good condition. The booklet about telling fortunes with regular cards has a bent corner on page 9/10. There is yellowing on the pages, but otherwise they are in fine reading condition. The Rider tarot card deck booklet has transparent tape on the front and back covers, but the pages don't have tape and are in nice shape.

As shown by this booklet ("HOW TO TELL FORTUNES WITH CARDS"), it's not necessary to use exotic and expensive tarot cards to use cards for fortune-telling. As explained by Wade Clayburn in this 1985 booklet published by Globe Communications Corp., a simple standard deck of cards used for solitaire or rummy can do the job.
As suggested in the 64-page booklet, at the simplest level one can simply draw a card each day from a shuffled deck to find out what destiny has in store each day. A variety of other techniques are proposed, all using a standard deck of cards.
But also included in the auction is an instruction booklet (46 pages including covers) for using the 78-card Rider Tarot deck for fortune-telling.

These booklets are both pocket-sized. The Rider Tarot booklet is 2 3/4 inches by 4 3/8 inches, and the other booklet is 3 3/8 inches by 5 1/8 inches.
