Brass relic Officers epaulette part? -Found Ft Craig NM in 1960's

Check my other auctions for more dug relics from New Mexico.  This relic was part of a large collection accumulated by a man from Socorro, NM(now deceased) who used to metal detect around Fort Craig NM (1854-1888) in the 1950's-1960's. I think this might be from an Officer's shoulder board/epaulette. The front piece is brass, and the back piece is iron, and still slides freely.  Good dug condition with patina. Great display item!   Always glad to combine shipping if you win more than one auction. Thanks for bidding!
