    THE FIRST COLORED REBEL REGIMENT,
    meaning
    Black males from the South who would flock to fight for the Confederate Army given the freedoms cited below (freedom, remain in state, etc)
    because the South was losing the War and desperately needed more soldiers to fight;

    A personal ad entitled :
    UNTERRIFIED SHAM DEMOCRATS
    , attacking the Democratic Party
    and citing General
    George McClellan
    (calling him "Mac"), the Democrat candidate for President in 1864
