    Description

    Civil War Chancellorsville/Wilderness Battlefield Engraved Silver Watch Case - Double case, key wind case measuring 2 1/16 inches in diameter. Appears to have been in a fire, so I am leaning toward Battle of the Wilderness, May 5-7, 1864.
    The front is engraved with a soldier armed with a musket on guard behind a large  cannon with houses in background.  The back of the case is engraved with a town, bridge over river and what could be a church. Both sides have a leaf type engraving around the edge. This has been in my collection since April 1988.  (it is NOT blue as seen in two photos, bad lighting)
