    Description

    Really awesome 1/6th plate ambrotype of two salty looking dudes, possibly brothers, in rain gear and occupational garb just posing with their long stem clay pipes!  From an estate sale in western NC--no known history.  In full case (tape repair to spine as you can see). 1850s to 1860s era all the way.  Found WITH an identified same era photograph to Reuben Gardner, a farmer originally from Cumberland County, NC (not included in this auction).
