    CIVIL WAR Model 1858 Canteen, Soldier Unit Initials Carved In Spout.
    Original Civil War New York Depot canteen that came out of a MA GAR Hall years ago which has the remnants of gold paint trim customary of the time. Good condition retaining all three sling swivels with a couple of pushes, one on each side.
    Canteen retains it’s original brown cover and partial leather strap.
    A little soldier art work carved in the spout are 13th, Co. E and the letter T probably the initial identifying to the soldier. (13th MA?)
    A canteen that was actually issued and used.
