    authentic civil war tarred canvas haversack. item was sold as :CIVIL WAR ERA TAR COVERED CANVAS DOCUMENTS BAG OR SATCHEL. i think its a haversack. item is about 18 3/4 x 12 1/2 inches. bag has storage area in rear, 5 leather straps. i have no idea how you wear it? know very little about the item but its used but very decent condition with  seam seperation on top which should be sewn. bag weighs close to 2 pounds lbs. see pics  U.S. SALES ONLY.   YOUR BUYING WHAT YOU SEE.
