Civil War wood frame back pack / haversack 14th Separate Company - NY, named.

Description

Civil War wood frame back pack. The cover is marked to the 14th Separate Company. "23" is marked on one outside corner and on the inside. Lots of writing on the inside of the cover. I can see a name, but can't quite make it out. I see  "NY", and "July". I think, with patience, you could figure out the name and some other words. Some of the straps are gone. Two broken straps and buckle are inside with a piece of wood. The attached straps are brittle. But the pack itself has good form and would display well. Tarred exterior.
