    Description

    Up for auction is this vintage hotel ware soldered silver 6” wine coaster or tray made for The Drake Hotel of Chicago.
    It is marked on the bottom:
    THE DRAKE HOTEL CHICAGO IS International Silver Co Silver Soldered 05086 6 in then 47 in a box (International date mark for 1947.
    The coaster tray is 6” in diameter and 1” tall.
    The tray is in overall good condition with heavy scuffing on the face of the tray and many nicks, scratches and dents consistent of institutional use silver.
    I gave the coaster only a light polish to make certain there was no hidden damage but wanted to leave the patina as a decision for the buyer.
