    Description

    Dug Civil War relic lot recovered from various locations on the Gettysburg Battlefield. This collection consists of various items excavated in Gettysburg and not just one particular location. The lot consists of the following: US boxplate, US eagle breast plate, side knife, pocket knife, gun tool (2),  rope adjuster, heel plates and what appears to be possibly post-war eye glass frames. The highlight, in opinion, is the breast plate and side knife. The eagle breast plate displays a beautiful dug patina and contains all lead with no hooks. From my recolection the boxplate was recovered in the East Cav Field location while the glasses frames were found in the vicinity of Devil's Den. Selling as a grouping. Please see pictures.
