    Description

Here's a neat padlock we unearthed on private land at the great cavalry battlefield of Trevilian Station, in Louisa County, Va. It's in nice relic condition, with a brass keyhole fly. Over time, we probably dug fifteen of these around this battlefield, and there's a reason. The baggage trains of both armies were captured, and then recaptured during the two day fight, and I'm sure most of the baggage trunks were broken into. One of the first locks we ever found there had a pistol bullet through it. So, this is a neat memento of this famous fight, which was the greatest cavalry battle ever fought in America. Plmk if I can provide any further info or photos. I am happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases whenever possible, as long as you wait for me to invoice you. Thanks for looking, and stay safe.
