    Description

Up for Auction is a Rare Condition Excavated or Dug Civil War Kepi Hat Infantry Insignia dug near the Gettysburg Battlefield.  It was dug by Ron Stonelake in the 1970's on private property near the famous Gettysburg site.
It remains in amazing solid condition and has one slight bend on the curved loop of the horn, but it does not detract from the piece!  This spectacular piece even has one of the original loops or hat connection wires.  They don't get any nicer than this one, being in near perfect shape with a solid provenance and being from a well known battlefield!  It has an amazing bluish colored patina and finder's recovery info on the back and comes in the nice display case!
Feel free to ask any questions and feel confident in bidding as my perfect feedback speaks for itself.
