    The confederate Civil War battle flag of the Thirteenth Louisiana Regiment, captured by the Forty-Sixth Ohio Regiment in 1864, was held by the Ohio Regiment for thirty-six years.
    In 1900 the Grand Army encampment invited the fifty survivors of the Louisiana Regiment to accept the battle flag as a gesture of amenity and friendship.
    On September 4, 1900, a delegation of the Louisiana Regiment attended a ceremony in
