Description
For your consideration is a total of 8 footed tumblers, made by anchor glass company between the years of 1938 - 1944. This pattern is called Waterford, also nicknamed “waffle.” They measure at 4 7/8” in height and hold 10 oz.All rims and bases are flawless. Not a crack, chip, flake, or repair. Glass is rather crystal clear, showing no sickness whatsoever. I have closely inspected every glass for any chips. All of them have NO chips in the “waffle.” What flaws there are can be found in the band below the rim of 3 tumblers. I have done my best to show these close up. The close up photos represent the 3 tumblers. The one upside down is just to show the design detail of the foot.
These are depression glass, and some may have characteristics of the cheaply produced glass that it is. Such as, bubbles, mold seams, etc.
I collect depression glass and would be proud to have this set in my collection. Even with the noted flaws, they are a fine set and will serve you well.
