This hotel was located at 390 Commonwealth Avenue, on the south side of Commonwealth, between Massachusetts Avenue and Charlesgate East.
Backside marked in green. Retailed by Mitchell Woodbury Co.
Backstamp dates to the early 1910's. (approximately 1900-1910)
Measures 8 1/2" by 4 7/8"
One faint starburst hairline, as shown. absolutely no other chips, nicks, cracks, hairlines or repairs.
GUARANTEED VINTAGE, and NOT A REPRODUCTION.
390 Commonwealth Ave. in Boston, was designed by architect Edward B. Stratton and built in 1908-1909 as a seven story hotel, the Hotel Puritan, for boot and shoe manufacturer and real estate investor William Ball Rice.
