    Description

Original Civil War Era ID'd Drum of Pvt Joseph Felinzer of the 7th Indiana Infantry. This drum was on display at the Crooked Creek Museum for many years. Has some paperwork with a letter from the grandson. "Crooked Creek " is written on the bottom busted head with rope snares. Top head is complete. Has George Kilburn Maker label on the inside of the drum. A beautiful displaying drum with great history. 14 1/2" x 12". Please see all photos.
The Crooked Creek Museum was located on a battle site where Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest and Union Colonel Abel Streight fought for several hours at Crooked Creek in Vinemont (Cullman), AL, then went on to engage in the battles of Hog Mountain and Day's Gap in April 1863. Fred Wise was the owner and Curator since the 90's. I will be listing more relics from the museum. Please check
