Title beneath image reads: "A detachment of the First South Carolina (Colored) Volunteers, under the command of Colonel Beard, repelling the attack of Confederate troops in the vicinity of Doboy River, Georgia"
A nice rare engraving showing colored troops in action. The title beneath the image runs the full length of the page with the image being a little smaller. Part of another engraving on the back side. Very good condition for a 153 year old paper print.
