Bought from local estate.    Approx 5 1/2" x 16 1/2".   Has original leather carrier with losses to straps and seams that have come unstitched.   Nice wooden case, come components missing but majority in place, majority also marked to Tiemann.   Some wear but very good / excellent overall, nice bone handles.   From research it appears this set can date from 1863-1871 era but research indicates the locking mechanism on the case was meant for sets used by the military so I would suppose Civil
War use likely.  No key is included.   Great display piece!   Guaranteed original!   Please see my other auctions for more items from this estate and other estate military items.
