    Original Civil War U.S.A. “Intertwined” Artillery and Cavalry Bridal Rosettes
    This is an original and non-excavated pair of Civil War raised letters U.S.A. “Intertwined” Artillery and Cavalry Bridal Rosettes in beautiful condition. These have a brass face with a very nice dull brass patina and is without any cracks or breaks. The rear has its brass attachment loops and a and a complete complement of solder. They are both makers marked on the back “T. J. SHEPARD”.  T. J. Shepard also made Belt Buckles, Cartridge Plates and Eagle Breast Plates. The Rosettes are both perfectly round, and have no bends or repairs. The Rosettes measure 2” in diameter. An excavated example of this style Rosette is illustrated in the Civil War relic reference book. “Civil War Artifacts” by Howard Crouch on page 133, item #1. According to the book, there is some indication that these rosettes saw Artillery usage. These Rosettes will make an excellent addition to any Civil War Cavalry or General Civil War collection.
