    Description

[WILLIAM T. SHERMAN] PHILIP H. SHERIDAN
.  Important autograph note signed by, “P.H. S.,” making travel arrangements: "I have to go up to Chappwa Falls in Wisconsin for Decoration day."
IMPORTANT AUTOGRAPH NOTE SIGNED BY PHILIP H. SHERIDAN TO WILLIAM T. SHERMAN
Sheridan was a Union General of cavalry and famous Indian fighter who was known for eliminating J.E.B Stuart at the Battle of Yellow Tavern.  Two years later, Sheridan would succeed Sherman as Commanding General of the U.S. Army and would hold that position until his death.  A wonderful association between two legendary generals makes this piece very desirable.
A WONDERFUL ASSOCIATION BETWEEN TWO LEGENDARY UNION GENERALS
The note is one page on a single leaf, measures 6.5 by 5 inches, in very fine condition with minor staining, and authenticated by the Lincoln Library, formerly one of the world’s leading historical documents companies from the mid to late 20th century.
