    1 Tube Broadcast Receiver / WWII Tuner

    The ACE V (5) is similar to Crosley Type V and Corsley Model V.

    Now Some Little Know History
    During WWII the United States started a program to collect
    old radio and parts for gearing up and during for the war effort.
    This radio has common and was donated in large quantities!
    What people didn't know was that a lot  of these donated
    radio's were modified and shipped (smuggled)
    over to Europe just so people could keep up with the war effort!
    The USA wanted to keep hope alive in Europe thru radio!
    I have included a picture of the poster for donations!
    People don't know or remember how hard thing were in Europe.
    I had family in occupied Europe -
    the story of the hardship they endured was incredible!
    But The USA kept hope and the fighting spirit alive for all of them!
    What A Great Find  - We have never seen one of these!!!!
    Grab this piece of history before its gone!
