    Description

    I have a Civil War Bible belonging to Charles G Stevens, Co. E 16th Connecticut Volunteers. He was mortally wounded at the Battle of Antietam, probably near the 40 acre cornfield close to Burnside Bridge. He was 25 years old.
    Both front and back covers have still very legible pencil writing.
    I purchased this bible in the 90's at The Horse Soldier in Gettysburg and it has been sitting in a display case on an end table in my living room ever since.
