Springfield .62 Caliber Civil War Rifle Musket - Wooden Stock Only - Original

Description

This belongs to my brother and unfortunately he in unable to tell me what happened to the rest of the rifle.
It does have some of the original metal including 3 band springs. (I believe that is what they are called.)
I am not sure, but the wood is probably walnut.
I feel that a collector would be interested and that it can be rebuilt and restored.
I took it to "Old Steel Historical Firearms" in Littleton, Colorado and they told me this:
The stock is a Springfield .62 Caliber Civil War Era Rifle - Musket.
It measures 53" long.
