You are bidding on a M1861 US Springfield 3 band, 58 caliber musket stock with the butt plate.
The stock is 52 ½ inches long and is walnut.
The stock may have been refinished at some point but I do not know.
The stock has 3 band positions.
There are no bands with the stock.
There are two oval cartouches on the left side.
The stock has a crack in the barrel channel on the left side.
There is also a crack just in front of the lock cutout.
The stock has chips, dents and scratches.
The butt plate is marked US.
The stock has the nose cap, 3 band springs, and both stock washers.
