Superb Original Civil War Tarred Regulation Enlisted Haversack

Here’s an extremely scarce item and always desirable- an original wartime issue Federal enlistedmans haversack. This one is in excellent condition; the tarred material is supple and flexible as opposed to nearly all others that seem to crumble away upon a gaze. The interior retains the three tin buttons for the liner that has long since disappeared. The only detractor is that the closure strap and buckle are missing. It’d be easy to display it with a bottom strap and buckle from a common knapsack if so inclined, but it displays excellent as is. Overall a really nice example of an issued haversack that will enhance any collection.
