    Description

    We are pleased to offer a silverplated ice cream fork from The Commodore Hotel in New York City.  The pattern, a variation of Commodore, is an elegant design that was made for the hotel by Gorham, and introduced in 1930.  It has the well known C monogram on the front and the back of the handle is stamped THE BOWMAN HOTELS 1930 on the back of the handle.  Bowman owned the hotel before it became part of the Vanderbilt empire.

    Condition:
    Very good - minor use scratches but no plate wear or loss - much better than the usual wear and scratches typical of hotel plate.
