    U.S. Civil War Model 1860 Carbine Cartridge Box by W. Kinsey & Co.
    This is an original U.S. Civil War Model 1860 Carbine Cartridge Box in nice condition. This wood block filled carbine cartridge box remains in very good condition with some fine crazing on leather surfaces of the front flap and has tight stitching throughout. The wood block has twenty 58 caliber holes 1-1/4 inch deep. This wood block is in very nice condition. This is the early version with shoulder strap buckles on bottom one of the buckles is no longer attached but is present. The box measures 7-1/2” long x 3-1/4” high x 1-3/4” deep. There is a maker mark on the inside flap W. KINSEY & CO. / NEWARK, N.J.
