Vintage 1950s novelty “Fractured French” party coasters or ashtrays.
Made of disposable aluminum, each coaster has a
    New Yorker-
style cartoon and a “Franglais” punch line, a French word or phrase that is translated into English in a comical way with a pun or bawdy device.
21 ashtrays remain of the original 24 in the box.
Each coaster/ashtray measures 3 3/8” x 3 3/8” and has a lip for use as an astray but is pliable enough to flatten as a coaster.
