This listing is for a Very Good to Excellent condition, pre-owned Vintage SYRACUSE CHINA "HOTEL ST. REGIS" Hotel Restaurant Ware Large Soup Bowl.
Produced by SYRACUSE CHINA Company in Lyncourt, NY.  Marked with Date Code "95-I" (September 1966).
The Original HOTEL ST. REGIS, located in Detroit, MI, was a elegant, luxurious, Old-World Hotel which connected the notorious Cadillac and Fisher Buildings, opening in August, 1966.
Weils-Cohan Associates created the plaster décor and the French Regency architecture.
The Hotel featured red fleur-de-lis tiles similar to those used in ancient European sidewalks, 23k gold trimmed walnut paneling, crystal chandeliers and antiques from all around the world.
This piece would have been from the original lot of Hotel Dining Room China supplied to the Hotel by SYRACUSE CHINA.
Piece exhibits no discernible signs of handling, use, or wear.  No utensil marks noted.  Condition suggests piece never saw much Dining Room use, if any.
Hand-Painted gold edge trim exhibits no discernible signs of rubbing or wear.
No chips, cracks, crazing, or other know defects beyond those noted below.  Colors are crisp and bright.
May exhibit minor flea bites, decorating, glazing, kiln, or mold blemishes.  Kiln riser marks noted.
Bowl is marked with the HOTEL ST. REGIS hallmark on front in gold, and with the SYRACUSE CHINA hallmark & date code "95-I" on the bottom as shown in photos.
Bowl measures 4" diameter at base x 9" diameter at outer rim edge x 1 5/8" high.
