Vintage Alexandria Egyptian Aluminium Doumbek Darbuka Drum With Bag Good Used Condition.
Nice older Alexandria drum. With original skin marked 1996. It sounds great. Made of aluminum and all metal it has a distinctive sound that these style of drums are known for. Comes with bag and wrap that someone has affixed to the drum. It appears to be glued just under the rim and has a gold sash that ties around and holds wrap in place. The drum has some wear. Scuff marks scratches and some surface cracks that run the length of the drum. If you know these drums the older ones are notorious for the surface coating cracking. This drum is no exception as many of these older drums have the surface finish with cracks running the length of the drum. Please see pictures. The cracks are only surface cracking and the cracks do not penetrate the metal aluminum. None of the cracks go through the metal. Or even penetrating the metal. The cracks have no effect to the sound. It sounds great! It measures 17” tall and 11” across the top, drum surface. The base or bottom measures approximately 7 1/2”.
